Dah Bears and other Critters Each year seems to bring different groups of animals to the west Holyoke area. Some years it's foxes, others woodchucks, raccoons and possums. There have always been a few deer, bears and turkeys, and there are the ever-present squirrels and skunks. 2003 was one of the busiest bear seasons ever. 2004 was the year of the turkeys. You never know what each year will bring, and this is all within the Holyoke city limits! If you have any wild animal pictures you would like to share, let us know. BACK to Main page |
